BREAKING: Sule Lamido arrested for inciting violence ahead of LG polls

Former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, has been arrested by police for allegedly making statements capable of inciting violence ahead of local council elections in the state.

Lamido was said to be arrested for making a statement while speaking on a radio programme that his supporters should do everything necessary to win the local government elections.

Lamido is currently being held in custody at the police headquarters in Kano after he was arrested from his Sharada residence earlier on Sunday.

Though the police has not made any formal statement regarding the arrest, they, however, confirmed his arrest.
