BUK Lecturer, 2 others kidnapped

The wind of kidnaping blowing round Nigeria’s Educational institution birthed at Bayero University in Kano State, where a lecturer, Mr Saminu Aliyu Kiri, and  a member of the Computer Science department, were kidnapped Friday on their way back from supervising a Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).

The lecturer was reportedly kidnapped alongside two other people riding in the car.

An official from the university confirmed the abductions to Sahara reporters under the condition of anonymity.

The representative added that the lecturer was returning from an official assignment in Shaki, Oyo State when the kidnapping took place.

Their whereabouts are currently unknown and the kidnappers have yet to make any demands, according to sources.
