The chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Isa Mohammed has said that he will not be deterred in the fight against corruption as he is prepared to prosecute any public official who breaches the law.
The CCB chairman who made the comment in a chat with newsmen at the sidelines of a retreat for CCB’s board, management and state directors in Abuja on Thursday, said the retreat was an avenue to address the challenges confronting the bureau.
He also acknowledged that the CCB has not performed satisfactorily in the last 30 years.
Mohammed said, “As far as I am concerned, there is nothing that can stand on my way from prosecuting anybody that is found wanting.”
“At the end of the retreat, every bit of problem in the Code of Conduct Bureau, we are going to discuss, and we are going to see to the solutions we are going to provide.
