Ebun Francis || A Lagos High Court on Wednesday rejected the request of the former minister of petroleum resources, Alison Madueke seeking to compel her return to Nigeria for corruption trial.
The former oil minister is seeking to be joined in a money laundering case instituted by the Economic And Financial Crime Commission, EFCC against Abubakar Suileman a former minister of national planning under former President Jonathan and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mohammed Belgore.
Dieziani who was mentioned in the case had also asked the court to compel the Attorney general of the federation, Abubakar Malami to facilitate her return to the country.
But in rejecting her request, the trial Judge, Rilwan Aikawa described Dieziani’s request as ”misuse of court process”.
The Judge ruled that he will not be used as a tool to derail Dieziani’s trial in the United Kingdom.
