Critical Road Projects: NUPENG, others suspend planned strike

Chidi Samuel/ Following Thursday’s intervention of the country’s oil giant, NNPC, trade union group, NUPENG, and other affiliate bodies has called off the planned nationwide strike to protest the alleged diversion of funds earmarked for the rehabilitation of the 21 critical roads across the country.

All parties have pledged to collaborate to ensure nationwide availability of petroleum products.

On the nationwide fuel scarcity, all parties during the meeting agreed to work to ensure “efficient distribution of petroleum products across the country”.
