Ekiti gov, Fayemi contracts coronavirus

Ebun Francis| Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Nigeria governor forums chairman, who confirmed his status on his nerified twitter handle, said this was his third COVID-19 test.

He tweeted, ”I took my third Covid-19 test yesterday and it came back positive. I’m generally ok and I’m already self isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team. I’m delegating critical tasks to my Deputy but will continue routine duty from home”. JKF

Fayemi joins a list of governors who have tested positive for the virus, including Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi and Bauchi state governor.
