Herdsmen kill 2 in fresh attack in Benue

Attacks in two villages in the Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State by Fulani Herdsmen have left two persons dead.

Moses Yamu, Police Public Relations Office in Benue State, confirmed the attacks. Yamu said that two persons, including a 65-year-old farmer, were killed. He also said that the corpses have been taken to the NKST Hospital, Jato Aka, in Kwande Local Government Area.

Yamu said the police is conducting an investigation into the attacks to determine the motive.

The Herdsmen have gained notoriety for attacking different parts of Benue State in recent times. Attackers suspected to be Herdsmen attacke Tse Achia village near Kasar in the outskirts of Zaki-Biam in Ukum Local Government Council recently, killing three persons and burning several houses.
