I don’t think there will be election in 2019- Pastor Adeboye

The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Friday at the monthly holy ghost service of the church said that the 2019 general election may not hold unless the killings in the country stop.

The otherwise careful man of God told the huge congregation that he was particularly saddened by the killings in the country, especially the brutal killing of 19 worshipers in Benue state late last month.

Pastor Adeboye said that even though the victims were not members of the Redeemed Christian Church, the fact remains that all Christians are one.

He recalled an encounter he had with a fellow man of God who wanted to know if God had revealed to him who the next President will be but that he told the man that the way things are going, he is not sure that the election will hold given that people will have to be alive to vote.

Pastor Adeboye told the congregation that whereas a country can survive a civil war, no country survives a religious war.

The revered man of God subsequently led the congregation in a special prayer session asking God to let the killings in the country stop, so that Nigeria may know peace.
