JUST IN: Over 80 Kidnapped Chibok Girls Freed By Boko Haram

 Boko Haram, the Islamist terror group has released a batch of more than 80 of the Chibok high school girls who were abducted in mid-April 2014.

An Online media platforms said the release of the 80 abducted school girls came after further negotiations between the Islamist group and the Muhammadu administration. The report said their source said he was not in a position to disclose the terms of an agreement that led to today’s mass release of the Chibok school girls.

According to the report, the 82 girls who just regained their freedom are currently in Banki town in Borno state awaiting airlift to an unknown destination.

The report further added that once the girls are secured in a new location they would be debriefed, undergo a psychological and medical test and then be reunited with their families.

Corroborating the story to another online platform, Senator Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly said that as at Saturday night he was aware that 85% of the negotiation for the release of the girls with the insurgents were completed even though he was not part of the negotiation.

Sani said, “Although I did not participate in the negotiations, but, I am fully in the know of what was going on,” Mr. Sani said.

The Senator had earlier on Saturday tweeted “Chibok girls shall be free Insha Allah”.
