Kolapo Olusola, the deputy governor of Ekiti State has won the Peoples Democratic Primary election held in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday.
He will, by the outcome of the election, be the flag bearer of the party in the July 14 governorship election in the state.
Olusola, the candidate of the incumbent governor, Ayo Fayose, scored 1,190 votes to defeat Dao Adeyeye, the former national publicity secretary of PDP who had 771 votes.
A total of 2,086 delegates were accredited to vote in the primary election but only 1,968 were allowed to vote as others were disqualified.
