Kidnapped Buk Lecturer Released

Saminu Aliyu-Kiri, the Bayero university lecturer in the Faculty of Computer Science, kidnapped in Kaduna State Thursday night on his way back from a conference in Shaki, Oyo state, has been released by his abductors. Mallam Ahmed Shehu, the Director of Public Affairs of the School who confirmed the release, described it as an act of God.

“As I am talking to you now, the lecturer has regained his freedom and has been reunited with his family,” It was by the miracle of God that the lecturer was freed. he said.

It could not be confirmed at the time of filling this report if a ransom was paid for the release of the lecturer.
