Kidnapped house of rep member freed

Garba Durbunde, the Kano state born member of the House of Representative kidnapped earlier Wednesday along the Kaduna -Abuja highway has been freed.

His release was confirmed Wednesday evening by Abdulrazak Namdas, the spokesman for the House of Representative.

Namdas said the lawmaker has been released and since reunited with his family.

He said, “He has been released unhurt and is with his family.”

When asked if any ransom was paid before he was released, he said,

“I learnt he wasn’t the actual target so he was released without any ransom.”
