Yusuf Bello| Kogi state has conducted only one COVID-19 test, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control said on Tuesday.
According to the health agency, out of 35,983 samples tested in 36 states and the federal capital territory (FCT) so far, Kogi and Cross River states have the lowest figures of samples tested with one and seven tests respectively.
The two states so far, have not recorded any positive COVID-19 case.
According to its May 18 situation report, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said, Lagos has tested the highest number of persons with 14,886 samples tested, followed by the FCT and Kano with 4,688 and 2,653 samples tested, respectively.
The NCDC had visited Kogi in the first week of May, but its officials left the the state following attempt by state government officials to force them undergo tests for COVID-19.
The NCDC team is currently in Cross River on a two-day assessment tour.
