The vice principal, teacher and pupils of Lagos State Model College in Epe area of Lagos, kidnapped by gunmen last Thursday, have been released. They were released about 10.30p.m., Tuesday night. It will be recalled that last night, Alabingo reported that the kidnappers had given the victims relatives forty eight hour ultimatum to pay up the renegotiated N1m ransom per person, if they desired any hope of reuniting with them.
Though the exact amount paid could not be ascertained, the family of the sick pupil we understand parted with that sum N1 million for the child. At least two relatives of two of the students, who was contacted confirmed that their kids were with them.
The Lagos state Police command could not confirm the release of the victims as the time of filling this report.
