Metu wants court to allow Jonathan testify in corruption case

Chidi Samuel || Oliseh Metu, the former publicity secretary of the peoples democratic party, PDP, has asked the Abuja high court to allow president Goodluck Jonathan appear as a witness in the corruption before the court.

The former PDP spokesman is being tried by the federal government for the misuse of N400m fund release to him by the office of the National security adviser.

The current application is the second by Metu’s counsel Onyekachi Ikpeazu.

The court of appeal had earlier ruled that Sambo Dasuki, the former national security adviser should be allowed to testify as a witness in the suit.

The former national security adviser was, however, absent at Monday’s hearing.
