Niger Gov tasks parents on children’s education

Niger State Government has urged parents to always pay attention to the  trend of the Educational advancement of their children in order to enable the children imbibe the right values.

The Commissioner of Information Culture and Tourism, Mr Jonathan Vatsa  stated that the Governor of the state Abubakar Sani Bello said that the parents should always be available for the children.
He stated that the governor urged the parents to regularly visit their wards in schools and monitor closely what the children are up to at their formatives ages in school instead of leaving them solely for teachers.
According to Vatsa,  the Governor recognised the important roles of parents in the early socialization of the child and that good parental care was  the foundation towards molding a responsible adult.
The Commissioner stated that the governor was committed to the transformation of the education sector in the state which was  why the government adopted the whole school renovation approach.

“Mr. governor is ready to give education a facelift in Niger State,  what he wanted  is for the parents to play their role in guiding the children very well by visiting them regularly in the school to monitor their progress” he stated.

The Commissioner said that the  Governor was concerned about the attitude of some  parents who apparently neglect the emotional needs of their children by not regularly visiting  them in schools and showing them the desired parental love.
While calling on  parents to be synergize with schools to monitor the progress of their children. He assured that the government of Sani Bello will not leave any stone unturned to boost the educational fortune of the state.
