Nigeria confirms 132 new COVID-19 cases

Chidi Samuel|Nigeria on Monday confirmed 132 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the country’s virus burden to 56, 388.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) which made the disclosure in a statement disclosed via its vrified Twitter handle, said the new infections were recorded in 11 states.

According to the NCDC, Lagos state recorded 52 new cases, followed by Gombe-17 Plateau -10, Kwara, Enugu-9 and Ogun -9.

Other states with new infections include, Katsina -3 new cases, Ekiti -2 cases, Bauchi, Osun and Rivers reporter 1 case each.

So far, 44,337 have recovered from the disease with 1,083 fatalities.
