Nigeria confirms 520 new cases of #COVID19 with 5 deaths

Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Sunday confirmed 520 new cases of #COVID19, bringing the country’s caseload to 146,184.

In a statement via its verified Twitter handle late on Sunday night, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control also noted that 120,838 persons have so far recovered from the disease with 1,752 deaths recorded.

According to the update, Sunday’s infections were recorded in 19 states and the FCT with Ondo reporting 120 new cases, followed by Borno-41, Ebonyi-37, Benue-33, Plateau-30, and
FCT-29.

Other states with new infections include, Nasarawa-25, Ogun-25, Edo-24, Osun-24, Katsina-22, Kaduna-21, Niger-20, Kwara-14, Ekiti-13, Yobe-10, Oyo-4, Bayelsa-1, and Jigawa-1.

The health agency further reported that 5 deaths were recorded across the country.
