Nigeria confirms 542 new cases of #COVID19

Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Monday confirmed 542 new cases of #COVID19 bringing the country’s caseload to 152, 616.

The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control in a statement late on Monday night said, the new infections were recorded in 21 states and the FCT.

According to the update, Lagos recorded 99 new cases, followed by Kwara-91, Ebonyi-48, Ogun-44, Kaduna-42, Oyo-33, Ondo-25, FCT-24, Kebbi-23, and Osun-20.

Other states with new infections include, Ekiti-17, Nasarawa-12, Imo-11, Delta-10, Gombe-9, Kano-8, Katsina-7, Rivers-7, Edo-5, Plateau-4, and Bauchi-3.

The NCDC further confirmed that so far, 129,300 persons have recovered from the disease with 1,862 deaths.
