Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Friday confirmed 806 new cases of #COVID19 bringing the country’s toll 77,103.
In a statement via its verified Twitter handle late on Friday night, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control said the new infections were recorded in 26 states and the FCT.
According to the update, Lagos recorded 287 new cases, followed by FCT-255, Kaduna-36, Akwa Ibom-29, and Katsina-25.
Other states with new infections include, Rivers-25, Kwara-21 Bauchi-19, Kano-15, Ondo-14, Plateau-13, Yobe-12, Nasarawa-11, Ebonyi-9, Gombe-8, Abia-7, Delta-4, Imo-4, Osun-3, Anambra-2, Borno-2, Cross River-1, Edo-1, Ekiti-1, Jigawa-1, and Ogun-1.
The health agency further revealed that so far, 67,484 persons have recovered from the disease with 1,212 deaths recorded.
