Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Sunday confirmed 964 new cases of #COVID19 with two deaths recorded and 774 discharges.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control which made the confirmation in an update via its Twitter handle, said the new infections were recorded in 19 states and the FCT.
According to the update, Lagos, the epicentre of the outbreak in Nigeria recorded 360 new cases, followed by FCT-88, Ogun-73, Imo-72, Kaduna-67, Plateau-57, Abia-41, and Osun-41.
Other states with new infections include, Rivers-32, Kano-26, Niger-24, Benue-23, Edo-20, Cross River-20, Akwa Ibom-8, Nasarawa-6, Zamfara-6, Ekiti-6, and Jigawa-4.
The health agency also noted the currently, the country has 121,566 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, with 97,228 recoveries and 1,504 deaths.
