Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Thursday confirmed 938 new cases of #COVID19 with 536 recoveries in Lagos, and 8 deaths recorded across the country.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control in a Tweet via its verified Twitter handle said the new infections were recorded in 20 states and the FCT.
According to the update, Lagos, the epicentre of the pandemic in Nigeria recorded 236 new cases, followed by the FCT-123, Plateau-92, Benue-63, Katsina-53, Oyo-50, and
Osun-45.
Other states with new infections include, Kaduna-43, Edo-33, Ogun-31, Ebonyi-31, Akwa Ibom-30, Kano-26, Gombe-18, Bauchi-16, Delta-12, Imo-11, Cross River-10, Rivers-10, and
Niger-5.
The NCDC further noted that so far, Nigeria has 143,516 confirmed cases of the highly contagious virus, with 118,012 discharges, and 1,710 deaths.
