Nigeria top list of countries accounting for two-thirds of people facing acute hunger globally

Nigeria and nine other countries accounted for two-thirds of people facing acute hunger globally (2026).

According to report by the Global Network Against Food Crises, Nigeria top the list with 30.6m people, followed by DR Congo with 27.7m and Sudan with 24.6m.
