Nnamdi Kanu addresses pro-Biafra crowd, desregards bail condition

In apparent violation of one of the bail condition’s for his release by an Abuja High Court presided over by Justice Binta Nyako, Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has addressed a crowd of more than ten people at his father’s compound at Isiama Afara,in Umuahia North, Local Government Area of Abia State,

The video of the address, which lasted 14 minutes, 22 seconds, went viral on Sunday and  Kanu could be seen speaking to a congregation of Biafran supporters on the occasion of the Shabbat, a Jewish religious programme. He also spoke about the May 30th stay at home order issued by IPOB and MASSOB.

Kanu said, “Not minding what is happening, we remain IPOB, is that correct? (Crowd respond in chants of affirmation for Mr. Kanu’s question). We are unstoppable.  This congregation here is very special to me. This is the very first observance of Shabbat in this very family. My joy knows no bounds because in prison I used to dream about this; I used to dream about keeping the Shabbat.”

On the 30th of May, we will shut this very place down and prepare for Biafra. The choice is theirs if they will give us a date for the referendum. And if they fail to do that there will be no election in the southeast forever and ever.”

Opinions are divided so far on Whether the address amounts to a negation of Kanu’s bail conditions.

The next few days will tell.
