Okorocha’s victory shows judiciary defends the constitution —Nwosu

The defeated governorship candidate of the Action Alliance in Imo State, Uche Nwosu has described the judiciary as the greatest defender of Nigeria’s constitution and democracy.

He was reacting to the judgement of the Federal High court, Abuja, which ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to issue a Certificate of Return to the immediate past governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, as the  Senator-elect for Imo West constituency.

Nwosu who spoke with journalists in Owerri, said that the judiciary had continued to “preserve our democracy.”

He said “The judiciary has shown that it is the last hope of the common man. The landmark judgment has shown that no matter how hard you try to suppress the truth, justice will always prevail”.
