A man has met his untimely death in Ikorodu, Lagos as soldiers of the Nigerian Army beat him to death over outstanding house rent.
The incident happened when the deceased’s landlady brought soldiers to beat the man up over an outstanding two-month rent owed to her.
The soldiers proceeded to beating the man on arriving the house, located at 10, Prince Jamiu Oyebade Street, Ogijo, Ikorodu, which led to the man being hospitalized at Pillars Hospital in the same area.

An eyewitness to the incident said that the landlady invited soldiers from the 174 Battalion to handle a civil issue last week, which led to the death of the man.
“The victim has been in the hospital since that last week before he finally gave up yesterday night.
“His family brought his body, dumped it at the front of the house for the landlady.”
The landlady has, however, been arrested by the police, according to the eyewitness.
