Ondo chief judge rejects assembly’s request to probe deputy governor

Ebun Francis| The Chief Judge of Ondo State, Justice Oluwatoyin Akeredolu, on Friday rejected the request by the State House of Assembly to set up a panel to investigate the State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

This followed the decision of 14 members of the Assembly who served an impeachment notice on the deputy governor earlier in the week.

The lawmakers accused the deputy governor who recently decamped from the ruling APC to the PDP of gross misconduct.

Nine other lawmakers are, however, opposed to the planned impeachment of the deputy governor.
