Ondo leads as Nigeria’s COVID-19 numbers declines with 205 new cases, 4 deaths

Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Saturday confirmed 205 new cases of #COVID19 with 4 deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control in a statement via its verified Twitter handle said the new infections were recorded in 15 states and the FCT.

According to the update, Ondo state for the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic in Nigeria early last year led with 33 new cases, followed by Lagos-25, FCT-22, Bauchi-21, and Akwa Ibom-15.

Other states with new infections include, Kaduna-14, Katsina-13, Ogun-13, Rivers-11, Edo-8, Ekiti-4, Imo-4, Kano-3, Nasarawa-2, and Niger-2.

The health agency further noted that so far, Nigeria has 160,537 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, with 144,714 recoveries, and 2,013 deaths.
