Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is presiding over today’s Federal Executive Council meeting in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The vice president is holding fort for the President who arrived Maidugiri, the Bornu state capital on Thursday on an official visit.
The meeting which started with the arrival of the vice president to the council chamber of the villa by 11:01am, also has in attendance the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita and 20 ministers.
President Buhari is scheduled to later jet out to the UK today on a “private visit.”
He is expected back to the country on May 5.
