Police Arrest one of the leaders of Turkish School Kidnapping

The Nigerian Police have arrested one Philip Joel Kakadu, alias, ”General Kakadu’, one of the three leaders of the armed gang that kidnapped  five students and three workers at the Nigerian Turkish International School in Isheri, Ogun State, last Friday.

The suspect was arrested by men of the Intelligence Response Team in Warri, Delta State and he  was alleged to have confessed that five of his boys were part of the 16-man gang that operated in the Turkish school last week.

Kakadu also informed the police that the other two  leaders keeping the victims were from creeks in Lagos and Ogun. He named the two leaders as General Agbala and General O. C. and the two control over a hundred and thirty boys.

The students and officials of the school were kidnapped on Friday 14th January and the kidnappers have made demand of 1.2 billion Naira ransom from the parents of the victims.

The police say that the manhunt for the kidnappers and their victims is in progress.
