Ebun Francis || Ifeanyi Dike the University of Port-Harcourt undergraduate who absconded from police detention after his arrest over the brutal murder of his niece, eight-year-old Victory Mezu has been re arrested by the police.
The escape of the suspected ritualist was embarrassing for the police who in addition to placing a one million naira bounty on him, also charged the investigative police officer (IPO) with negligence of duty at a magistrate court in the state capital.
The Rivers state police command confirmed that the suspect was arrested in Jos, Plateau state capital.
According to the spokesman of the command, Nnamdi Omoni, “He was re-arrested yesterday night in Jos, the police will call a press briefing on the matter later.
