Police Retract Statement On Recovery Of Dr. Orji’s Body

Ebun Francis || The Lagos Police have retracted their earlier report confirming the recovery of the body of Dr Allwell Orji, the medical Doctor who jumped to his death from the Third mainland bridge last Sunday. In its latest statement, the command say, they are unsure of the identity of the body recovered early Tuesday morning at the Onikan end of the Lagoon. 

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni had earlier confirmed the recovery of the body.

Until his death, Dr. Orji worked at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Surulere area of Lagos State, south-west Nigeria.

He was said to be on his way to Victoria Island for a meeting with the Medical and Dental Association of Nigeria when the incident happened.
