Pres. Buhari prepares for another medical trip to London

There are indications that President Muhammadu Buhari may be gearing up for a return to the United Kingdom for further treatment.

The president had announced shortly after his return from his 49 day medical trip to London that he would need to return there for further treatment in the near future.

“I am feeling much better now, there may, however, be need to have further follow-ups within some weeks,” he said.

There were reports on Thursday that the president would not require his London doctors to visit Nigeria has speculated in some quarters; instead, the president will be visiting London again to treat his failing health.

Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed the president’s plan to return to London for follow-up treatment while refuting claims that he had invited his doctors to Nigeria.

“It is false news that Buhari is no longer going to London. We are not aware of the reported advance movements.

The last time the President spoke about this, he said he would return to his doctors after some time. We are not aware this has changed,” Shehu said.
