Chidi Samuel || President Muhammadu Buhari Wednesday morning launched the long awaited Nigeria Economic Recovery Plan, promising that his administration will return Nigerian to a productive nation.
At the event which took place inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa the President said that the plan will have a positive effect on the country, and appealed to Nigerians to monitor the implementation of the document.
The plan prepared by the Ministry of Budget and National Planning contained 60 critical initiatives expected to help get Nigeria out of recession and reposition on the path of growth.
Mr. Udo Udoma, the supervising Minister in his welcome address said that the initiative was in line with the change agenda of the government to revive the ailing economy.
“This is therefore a fulfilment to re-invigorate the economy”, he said.
The event was attended by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, Abdulaziz Yari; National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, John Odigie-Oyegun; Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
