President Muhammed Buhari will travel to London on Tuesday to see his doctor.
The senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Garba Shehu made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday evening.
According to Shehu the President is expected to away for four days.
Shehu said, Buhari’s doctor had asked the president to return to London after the duo met in the city where the president had a “technical stopover” on his way from his meeting with President Donald Trump of US.
“In the course of the technical stop-over for aircraft maintenance in London on his way back from Washington last week, the President had a meeting with his doctor.”
“The doctor requested the President to return for a meeting which he agreed to do. President Buhari will return on Saturday, May 12th.
“On his return, the president’s two-day state visit to Jigawa, which was postponed because of the All Progressives Congress, APC’s Ward Congresses will now take place on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th May.”
This will not be the first time the President will travel to the United Kingdom for medicals.
President Buhari in 2017, spent 150 days in London, treating an undisclosed ailment.
