Senate rejects Buhari’s plan to borrow $29.96bn loan request

The plan of President Muhammadu Buhari to revatilise Nigeria’s ailing economy though external borrowing suffered a set back as the  senate Tuesday voted to reject the President’s request to borrow $29.96 billion. The motion for the consideration of Buhari’s communication on the request to the senate for consideration was introduced by Senate Leader, Ali Ndume and put to vote by Senate President, Bukola Saraki, but was shouted down by senators without a debate.
