Benjamin Uwajumogu, the Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Ben Uwajumogu is dead.
Uwajumogu died on Wednesday morning in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
According to an associate, the late lawmaker who actively contributed to debates on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday, slumped and was taken to a private hospital in Abuja where he was confirmed dead.
He said, “I was with him yesterday in his office. I was with him till 4 pm yesterday. It is sad.”
The Imo lawmaker, until his death, was the chairman, senate committee on employment, labour and productivity.
