The Nigeria Police said it had arrested 17 suspects involved in the recent killings in Kafanchan, Kaduna state.
Force Spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, Chief Superintendent of Police, made the disclosure on Thursday in Abuja when he presented the suspects before newsmen.
He said that 29 assorted firearms were recovered from the suspects after a discreet and sustained investigation by the police.
Jimoh said the suspects would be charged to court on completion of investigation and charged for inciting public disturbance, disturbance of public peace, causing mischief by fire, culpable homicide, theft and unlawful possession of prohibited fire arms.
Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the Kaduna State Governor confirmed the arrests through his twitter handle on Thursday evening. He also said that the police gave the suspects to be Fulani herdsmen and natives of Southern Kaduna.
The names of the suspects arrested in Kafanchan and Environs who were paraded are as follows: 1) Magaji Shuaib (2)Abdulkareem Abdul (3) Goma Adamu 4. Danlami Yakubu 5. Danjuma Barde 6.)
