Supreme Court sack Hembe, Dalandi from N/ Assembly

The Supreme Court on Friday sacked two lawmakers from the National Assembly.

Abubakar Danladi representing Taraba North was ordered to vacate his seat in the Senate by the court.

The apex court also ordered him to refund all salaries and allowances earned in the Senate within 90 days.

Danladi was sent packing from the upper house, the same day the Court sacked a member of the House of Representatives, Herman Hembe to vacate his seat.

Hembe lost his seat to Mrs. Dorothy Mato, who the apex court declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress ticket for Vandikwa/Konshisha Federal Constituency of Benue State.

The court also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to issue certificate of return to Mato.

The apex court also ordered Hembe to vacate his post immediately and return all salaries and benefits collected while in office within 90 days.

Hembe was elected into the House of Reps in 2015.
