Mrs Ada Ugo-Ngali, the Managing Director of Ontario oil and Gas Ltd, was today sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for oil subsidy fraud by an Ikeja High Court. The court had earlier found the accused guilty but sentencing was suspended because she fainted in court after she was pronounced guilty in the N1.9bn oil fraud case.

The presiding Judge,Justice Lateefat Okunnu last week found the Chairman of Ontario Oil and Gas Ltd, Mr. Walter Wagbatsoma; Mrs Ugo-Ngadi and the company guilty of an eight–count bordering on conspiracy, obtaining property by false pretences and forgery. The case was instituted by the EFCC against them following the oil subsidy scam of 2011 during the administration of Former President Goodluck Jonathan.
