By our reporter| The Osun state government on Saturday afternoon said it has recovered the COVID-19 patient who fled its isolation centre earlier in the day.
In a Facebook post, Ishmael Omipidan, chief press secretary to the governor, said the patient was found on Saturday afternoon.
Omipidan said “The missing person has been recovered a few minutes ago.
Funke Egbemode, commissioner for information, had earlier in a statement, said a headcount, which was conducted in the morning, showed that only one person could not be accounted for.
Some of the 127 returnees from Ivory Coast had been isolated by the Osun government.
Twenty two of them tested positive for coronavirus.
