Wike demolishes two hotels in Rivers over breach of lockdown order

By our reporter|The Rivers State Government on Sunday demolished two hotels in the state for allegedly violating the lockdown order in the state.

The demolishion of the two hotels, Prodest Hotel in Alode and Etemeteh Hotel in Onne – both in Eleme Local Government Area (LGA) of the state was personally supervised governor Nyesom Wike and some government officials.

The hotels were demolished three days after Governor Wike directed officials of the Local Government Task Force to identify hotels operating during the lockdown for demolition.

The governor, had while inaugurating the task force at the Government House in Port Harcourt, also asked the officials to identify erring beer parlours.
