I will run an open door policy, Ojo assures Orlu medicine dealers

Everest Ezihe || As a strategic measure to uplift, the business activities of patent medicine dealers in Orlu, Imo state, Elder Ojoh Harmony Ojoh the newly elected branch Chairman of National Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers (NAPPMED) has assured of given all-inclusive governance in the administration of the affairs of the business association.

Ojoh who had successfully completed his first tenure of four-year gave this assurance over the weekend shortly after his swearing in and during his acceptance speech for the keenly contested election.

He also promised to pursue vigorously all those who have refused to identify with the association while warning members on the moral and legal implications of selling fake and expired drugs insisting that anyone caught will be taking to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

The Chairman assured them of an absolute protection of the association once they operate within the confines of the law and the association’s by-laws.

The peaceful election which was conducted by three man electoral committee headed by Chief Ohiagu Innocent while Sir Sam Okolie was the Secretary with Mr. Sam Ezike as a member.

It is pertinent to inform that the election also produced Chief Emma Okolie as Vice-Chairman, Comrade Onyenuma L.A. Secretary while Mr. Jude Mgbemere was elected as an Assistant Secretary.

Other equally elected are Mr. Chinonso Odidika (Treasurer), Mr. Chijioke Ofumadu (Financial Secretary) and Mr. Uchenna Ikanne as Public Relations Officer.

However, in line with their bye-law, Mr. Sabinus Nwanegbo was appointed Task Force Chairman just as Mr. Arthur Obiora and Mr. Daniel Mba were appointed Chief Provost and Assistant Chief Provost respectively.
