Angry Nigerian workers on Monday forced theSenate President Bukola, Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house of representatives, Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and other government officials out of Eagle Square, Abuja, venue of the workers’ day rally.
The already agitated workers were enraged when labour minister, Chris Ngige, representing President Muhammadu Buhari sent Biola Bawa, permanent secretary in the ministry of labour, to deliver his speech.
The workers refused to listen to the permanent secretary and even after the Minister came forward after the official left, the workers consistently booed him.
An attempt by the former NLC President and the immediate past Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, to pacify the workers were rebuffed by the workers.
With the situation, tense and almost uncontrollable security operatives of Saraki and Dogara and other government officials whisked them out of Eagles square venue of the May Day rally.
