Yakubu’s bid to retrieve forfeited $9.8m foiled

A federal high court in Kano, Wednesday foiled the attempt by the disgraced former Group Managing Director of NNPC, Andrew Yakubu to reclaim the sum of $9.3m recovered from his house in Kaduna by the EFCC.

Yakubu’s application was rejected by justice Zainab Abubakar.

Ahmed Raji, counsel to Yakubu, filed an application, asking the court to set aside the order on the premise that it had no jurisdiction to entertain the matter.
