Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode opened the new bus terminal at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, yesterday, assuring residents of the city that his administration plans to improve Lagos State to meet up with international standards.

Ambode noted that the bus terminal is part of the plan to create jobs for the unemployed youths in the state.

“The new bus terminal is the beginning of development in the transportation sector in Lagos state. Many are still coming,” the governor said.

“This is part of what we have in the manifesto during campaign period. We are assuring Lagos residents that more development is on the way.

“There will be a lot of social activities at the TBS where the youths will be gainfully employed.

Ambode said that his administration is keeping up with the promises he made during his campaign for gubernatorial office, noting that the objective is to make Lagos attractive to international tourists.
