Nigeria beach football players denied US visa

Seven players of the Nigeria national beach soccer team have been denied visas by the United States Embassy.

The players are seeking to participate at the Beach Soccer World Cup in the Bahamas and will require visas from the US Embassy in order to enter the island.

Five players and four officials were, however, granted entry visas by the US Embassy. Those granted visas are: Olawale Isiaka, Ibenegbu Ikechukwu, Godspower Igudia, Suleiman Ogodo, and Paul Danjuma.

Sources disclosed that the Nigeria Football Federation are planning to write a letter to FIFA to protest the visa denial to the five players as they need to have a complete team in order to participate at the tournament.
