Osinbajo presides over FEC meeting in Buhari’s absence

President Muhammadu Buhari was reportedly absent at the Federal Executive Council meeting held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday.

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Vice President, presided over the meeting, which began around 11 am.

Buhari presided over the previous meeting, last Wednesday, during which he unveiled the Economic and Recovery Growth Plan (ERGP). His absence is the first since his arrival from the United Kingdom after a 49 day absence from Nigeria.

Osinbajo takes charge of the meeting for the first time since the President returned from his 49-day medical vacation in London, United Kingdom.
