Rotimi Akeredolu beats Tinubu’s candidate in Ondo primaries

Rotimi Akeredolu has won All Progressives Congress primary election held  on Saturday for the November 26 governorship election in Ondo state. In a keenly contested election, he defeated Abraham Olusegun, the Preferred  candidate of the National leader of APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu by 699 votes to 635 .

This will be the second time Rotimi Akeredolu will emerge as candidate of the party, as he was the candidate in the 2012 governorship election.

Although the primaries was contested by 24 aspirants the contest was always going to be a straight fight between  Mr. Abraham Olusegun and Mr Rotimi Akeredolu.
