Well Done, Charles Eno

By Kingsley Omose

The recent outburst by Femi Fani-Kayode is quite welcomed and should be the goal of all good journalists, to get under the skin of the person being asked questions and throw them off balance.

Eyo Charles is obviously a very courageous good journalist for catching Femi Fani-Kayode off guard and for provoking the ferocious outburst.

Press questionings are usually drab and prearranged, with brown envelopes expected to change hands, but not in this instance where Eno opted to forfeit his.

The only problem was that Eno allowed Femi to bluff his way out of the legitimate question he asked by apologizing and losing the initiative to the ruffled politician.

With what is now known of the good relationship Femi had with the late Abba Kyari while blasting him in public, and with talk of his wanting to decamp to APC from PDP, the question is legitimate, who is bankrolling Femi?

The fierce outburst of Femi speaks volumes because if he was bankrolling himself, he will shake off the slight and say he is the one paying for the trip.

His fierce outburst proves the question touched a very raw nerve, and that simple question has brought global attention to what should otherwise have been an uninteresting event.

This journalist, Eno Charles, deserves very high commendation for achieving what very few Nigerian journalists can do, discomfort a supposed Nigerian big man.
